Woodroffe United Church ... we are not alone, we live in God's world.

Our Mission & Service Committee and Christian Education are working towards Woodroffe United Church sponsoring a young girl’s education at Chipembi Girls Secondary School in Chipembi, Zambia.
Chipembi Girls Secondary School, one of the oldest girls' secondary schools in Zambia, is run by the United Church of Zambia. The school was opened in 1926 and was the first girls' boarding school in Zambia that promoted child education for girls, including literacy and life-long skills. To date many prominent women holding high positions in society are the fruits of Chipembi Girls' Secondary School. Example Inonge Mbikusita-Lewanika, ambassador to the United States 2003-11 and then the E.U.
By raising $3000, we will be able to cover one girl's fees so that she can continue her education from Grade 8 to Grade 12. We have already raised over $1000 from hosting the Presbytery Dinner in February but we still have a way to go. Our next event will be the Pancake Supper on March 4. Please come out and support our cause.
Your donation today will go a long way in helping to make a big difference in one girl’s future.
